I started out with a sword then i got a good axe from a friend and have been using them. But i like the look of the sword a lot more and i like a lot of the skills for the sword. I know i can do more dmg per sec at 11 axe then with a sword but that not with skills. I am wondering what i can get the most dmg out of it and some good skills go along. i also having probs with good elite axe skills. this is a pve char later in gvg if you think you can help me plz do.

I would go with a axe more like a Sephis axe they have a sweet skin and there rare for a good one with low req 600k+ but it woth it and axes are better i thank.

Razorstone is a good max green sephis axe, you can get them for about 18k.

yeah i just looked at Razorstone and there great axes thats what i would get cheap and same skin as Sephis 15^50 req 9 10/10 good axe but its green and you cant dye it.

i would get a bladed shield and a Razorstone axe that would look cool with
pl8 mail armor.

Swords and Axes do the same amount of damage axes are good for spikeing and swords are good for pressure.You will get the same result though.Don't let me get Savio.

Don't know about good, but for me, I use triple chop against pve mobs and eviserate against pve bosses and in pvp. Though if you're just questing or playing through the missions, go with triple. Save evis for farming bosses, not general travel. Wings axe is good with triple and cyclone and he's easy to farm, or you can buy for like 10k or so. Not a bad skin either.

The damage from Axe and Sword is not the same

The Axe can deal lower damage then a Sword but can aslo deal higher damage

Axe 6 - 28
Sword 15 - 22

The overal damage of sword is probably higher cause both normal hits and critical hits deal around the samage damage...

An Axe can deal immense low damage but also very high damage...

I prever Axe just for the skills and totally agree that Sword is more for Pressure and Axe for Spiking.

It just depends on what you like more, its not that Axe is like the best weapon but if you wanna take down enemies rather then supporting your team you should go for Axe... If you wanna go for Sword and take down then the best attacks you can take are the +40 damage attacks like Silverwing, and you might wanna take Sun and Moon Slash...

If you wanna stick with supporting your team and pressure the oppisit Monks you should go for Sever Artery and Gash and Sun and Moon Slash and some interrupts

With no skills, axe actually has higher DPS than sword due to critical hits. People have run the numbers.

Triple chop + cyclone axe destroys crowds. Sword combos are higher single-target DPS than pretty much anything axe has to offer.

I think you have some things mistaken.

Criticals are calculated as a maximum attack at four attribute ranks higher. So, if you hit for a critical at 16 Axe Mastery, the critical would be what the maximum damage would be at 20 Axe Mastery. I think.

If that's right, Axe has a higher overall damage.

hmm... chaos axe looks nice, but some swords realy look wicked, but the chaos axe is realy unique i think, i have one almost perfect :P 15% while enchanted, vamp perfect and fortitude 29 :P

It is the same all over only hammer do a slightly more damage with KD.

I wish i could go back in time and instead of having chosen a fow warrior helm having chosen a fow axe helm. Strongly advice you to go axe. Much better in my opinion and axes look better then swords aswel.

Chaos, Dwarven , Sephis, Gothic, Dual gothic etc. Beat any sword imo
